Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in Portobello, East Edinburgh, 20 minutes by bus to Princes Street and Edinburgh Castle. There is a long, clean, sandy beach just at the end of our street and a lovely park across the road. Locally, there are some excellent restaurants and cafes, specialist shops and amenities. We are near Arthur's Seat for walking and amazing views - there are cycle routes all around the city. Edinburgh is a city of culture with many museums, galleries and theatres. It is packed full of historical interest which you can discover as you explore or take guided tours. It is an easy city to get around on foot or by bus with excellent shopping and eating out. The city buzzes with live music and street theatre in the summer with Edinburgh International Festival and the Fringe Festivals in August. In winter, there are street markets to browse and family entertainments in Princes Street Gardens. Easy transport links to the Scottish Highlands and lots of places to visit as day trips in East Lothian and the Scottish Borders. We have amazing castles!
