Our home

Raeburn Place is a lovely, comfortable family home. Completely refurbished in 2005 to a very high level, it now offers guests a wonderful base from which to make the most of Edinburgh city and the surrounding area. It mixes the best of Georgian architecture, with high celings, wooden floors and pretty cornices with the latest in contemporary design. There is ample off road parking. On the ground floor there is a formal dining room, wc, and a study with internet access. The kitchen is of contemporary design and has dark granite works-tops and leads through to a dining area and garden room. The glass doors at the rear of this room fold back and open onto a private walled garden with table, chairs and BBQ. On the first floor there is a drawing room, with polished floor, master bedroom with super kingsize bed, master bathroom with large power shower, bath, twin basins, and wc. There is also a dressing room/laundry with washing machine/dryer and storage. On the top floor there is a single bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with power shower, bath, basin and WC.

Who we are

  1. My name is Philippa. I am the mother of 3 busy boys and a husband who enjoy all things sporty. So my life revolves around the demands of the boys but I do manage to squeeze in a bit of culture when I can get the time. My sister lives in Australia and we are keen to spend some time there and to get to know the country better. My husband is in the oil industry and we have lived in many places around the world and we hope that by spending some time in a home rather than in a hotel we would get a greater insight into the country.
