Our home

Our house is semi-detached in a lovely quiet residential area, just 10 minutes walk from the seafront and 20 minutes walk into Eastbourne town centre. It is ideal for direct access to London, taking just one and half hours by train, and the city of Brighton is only half an hour away. There is much to do in the vicinity; Brighton theatres, Drusilla’s animal park; Hastings, famous for 1066 with its castle ruins, cliff top walks and 15th century old town. Quaint nearby villages include; Rye, Battle, Alfriston, to name but a few.

The house has two double bedrooms, and a third bedroom which is currently used as a study but can be easily converted into a single room. Both bedrooms have access to Sky TV, and the lounge has Sky+. The attractive lounge-diner looks out onto a sunny large garden, with decking and sunhouse. The well appointed kitchen includes a washing machine, dishwasher gas cooker and fridge-freezer. The bathroom has both bath and shower, and there is a downstairs toilet.

Visited Melbourne this summer, and loved it! Am looking to return to Oz in 2014, teaching, possibly spending a term in three different states. Open to offers in 2014 only.

Who we are

  1. I am a primary school teacher, also responsible for special needs in the school. I'm looking to teach in Australia in 2014, to experience teaching in another country. In 2008 I taught in Ghana for a month, which I loved. I have two lovely daughters, and one of them is still living at home while she completes her teacher training.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Eastbourne is a coastal town, renowned for its record-breaking hours of sunshine! We have a four-day Airbourne show, including two or three performances of the famous Red Arrows during August. Eastbourne has a bustling shopping centre, long flat seafront promenade for walks from the Harbour through to the South Downs, which lead up to Beachy Head. We have four theatres, two cinemas, swimming pools, many lovely parks, a bowling alley and laserquest, art gallery, and restaurants to suit all tastes.
