Who we are
-
We are David and Karen both retired teachers - Head of Maths and English/Support for Learning respectively at prestigious independent schools. David will say the best in Scotland - an inspiration for Harry Potter's Hogwarts. We are experienced exchangers and to this day remain friends with all our previous exchange partners. Been to Carribean, San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Australia (East & West), Canada (West coast & Rockies), California, Carolina, Spain. We enjoy the new experiences of 'Living anew'.... with the variety that a longer exchange can give you. Golf Clubs in the garage!! ! We are always open to ideas for any time since July 2016 was retirement date so we are open for possibly longer timeframes. In Autumn 2016 we had a triple exchange 3 month visit to Western Australia.
-
We love Rugby and Travel. Karen is into handicrafts and David enjoys photography and then using the computer to get it right. Our sons have inherited the wanderlust.
-
Sometimes a non simultaneous exchange may be possible if the 'jigsaw pieces' can fall into place. Our motto is that "the world seems to get smaller but our horizons broaden" and exchanging has proved that there are many more good people in this world than bad.

Where is it?
Your neighbourhood
A new development on the fringe of small town, Dunfermline, but close enough to be convenient and close enough to Edinburgh. I reckon that a radius of 150 miles will take you to most of Scotland.... Ideal location for exploring all the variety of Scotland. Just north of fabulous city of Edinburgh - Athens of the North. Galleries, Theatres, River, Parliament and Castle and World famous August festival, but also close to open countryside and the heart of golfing country. Many, many championship courses close by... St Andrews, Gleneagles within one hour, Carnoustie, Muirfield, not too far. Lochs and Mountains within an hour and plenty of history - Castles and Clans. All easily accessible by very close rail and motorway connections, 3 bridges, 3 rail stations and 3 motorway junctions within 5 minutes. A car exchange is certainly possible.
