Our home

This is a second property of ours, but very convenient for touring and visiting around Dundee and Tayside area. It is a flat in one of the oldest residential buildings in Dundee, Annfield House - originally built for the daughter of the Laird of Blackness. It is now split into flats, but there is plenty of space for a couple or small family to put your feet up and relax, while planning your many adventures around Scotland.

Who we are

  1. We are Jules and Ron, a married couple with a teenage daughter in 5th year and a 21 year old daughter finishing University in Aberdeen. I (Jules) am originally from Burnaby BC Canada, moved to Scotland in 2003 where I met Ron! I work at Abertay University on environmental research projects and Ron is an electronics engineer. We love travelling and exploring, but often make trips over to BC to see family, so keen to find house swaps in the White Rock, New Westminster or Fort Langley areas.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The property is located near to Dundee University and Perth Rd area (about a 5 minute walk) and Dundee City Centre (10-15 minute walk). There is a 24 hour bakery in the complex across the road, so food available any time of day or night - some delicious treats! There is a small shared garden, and parking on-street on first come-first served basis. Although close to the city centre it is a very quiet and peaceful area.

There is lots to see in Dundee if you like History - especially the Discovery visitor's centre, the Verdant Works and the McManus Galleries. Broughty Ferry Castle and beach is a nice day out too, but there is so much withing 30 minutes drive of Dundee, you won't be stuck for things to visit - such as Arbroath Abbey, historic signing place of the Declaration of Arbroath, St. Andrews - the home of Golf, Glamis Castle - the birth place of the Queen mother and much more. Dundee is also conveniently located for a day trip to Edinburgh - only 1 hour train journey from Dundee Centre to the Centre of Edinburgh, and a similar journey to Aberdeen in the North. Dundee is also great for shows and events at the Dundee Contemporary Arts Centre, and the Dundee Rep
