Who we are

  1. Michael and Diny, a couple in their 50's with a daughter in her last year at Oxford and a son in his last year at school. We live in Nottinghill in London and Dunheved is our holiday house. Michael works in Geneva for a wealth management company and Diny is a freelance rehabilitation specialist. Dunheved has been in Diny's family since it was built in 1950 and has been a very special place for holidays for the extended family. We spend many weeks there each year but also love visiting other countries and love to ski, sail, swim and explore.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is situated 4 minutes walk above the heart of the village - church, 3 pubs, village shop, post office, steam train, marina, sailing club and car and passenger ferries to Dartmouth. As well as being a wonderful location in its own right, Kingswear is also a great location from which to sample the many delights that this part of Devon offers. Whether you are looking for a ?bucket and spade' holiday, one packed with activities, historical interest or wildlife spotting or simply a quiet beach or cove to explore, it is all there. The South West Coastal path passes through the village and coastal walks are endless. Cruises up the beautiful and unspoilt Dart valley to Totnes or out of the harbour and across Torbay to Torquay are available. Sailing is possible through charters, day sails, and yacht, dinghy sailing or windsurfing lessons. There are two National Trust gardens very close; Coleton Fishacre which was originally developed by the D'oyly Carte family is a spectacular coastal garden with many rare plants from all over the world and Greenway which was owned and developed by Agatha Christie, is a secluded woodland garden on the banks of the River Dart. Dartmouth and Totnes are both delightful towns with excellent shopping and restaurants and places of historical interest.
