Our home

Beautiful, clean and modern stone-built apartment, in keeping with the traditional housing of this ancient market town. The apartment benefits from sash windows and central heating. There is a double bed and en-suite with toilet, wash basin and shower just off this bedroom. There is also a bathroom with toilet, wash basin and bath. The kitchen has a window and sky-light, with cooker, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. The livingroom has a settee and flat screen TV with a DVD player. There is wireless internet connection. There is private parking in the courtyard and a shared grassed area outside. There are only 6 appartments in this small courtyard. My apartment is on the second floor and there is no lift. A baby cot and high chair are available upon request.

Who we are

  1. I am interested in travelling, seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. I am a 33 year old teacher and hope to travel during each of my holidays to a different destination. I hope to exchange homes for the full six weeks of my summer holiday in 2012 (July 17- September 2) with a home in France. I would like to take my dog on this trip. I speak French and love France.
I am open to offers from anywhere in the world for any of the other dates. I look forward to hearing from you!

Stunning Roman village in the picturesque countryside of Northumberland. Within walking distance of the river Tyne and Roman fort, Corstopium, and not too far from the beautiful Hadrian's wall. Corbridge is a delightful small village with quaint streets, boutiques and small shops. There are a number of lovely restaurants, cafes and country pubs. There are also some beautiful local art galleries. This modern and clean apartment is in the heart of this Northumbrian village. Northumberland also has some beautiful, clean beaches, within driving distance. The university town of Durham, with it's Cathedral, is also a short drive away. Newcastle, with it's vibrant nightlife and iconic bridges is 35 minutes on the train. Edinburgh, Scotland and the Lake District are less than 2 hours drive (or train). Locals are very friendly.
The nearest international airport is Newcastle, which is 8 miles from Corbridge. Corbridge is well served by both bus and train.
