Our home

Our house is in a rural market town, Clitheroe, in the North West of England, close to areas of outstanding natural beauty. The are is much loved by Queen Elizabeth, who has stated her wish to eventually retire to the estates she owns close by. Clitheroe has a railway station which provides access to Manchester, York, Liverpool and the Lancashire coast, including Blackpool. The town is small and qiute self contained and has at its centre a 12th century AD castle and museum. There are many opportunities for walking and cycling.During the distant past Clitheroe was on the Equator and covered by sea, consequently there are great opportunities for hunting for fossils.
