Our home

Tiger Hall is a very spacious and comfortable family home, though not as grand as its name would suggest. There is an Aga (range) in the dining kitchen. We have two sunny reception rooms and a study. The garden is large and private, with flat lawned area ideal for children to play. There is a small pond. In the summer you can enjoy eating out in the courtyard, which is full of flowers. We have an outdoor cat and a small flock of pet chickens who are free to roam the garden. These are always a big hit, specially with children. The hens sometimes lay eggs if they feel like it.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of 5, parents Catherine and Charles, and children Poppy 14, Ben 12 and Bridget10. We love adventures so are really up for anything provided it overlaps with school holidays to some extent. We have done exchanges in the UK, Spain, and the US. We all think it is the best way to travel. The children enjoy staying in a real home, and love recommending their favourite things to our guest families. We have also exchanged with seniors. We like skiing, anything which involves getting wet and also city sights and museums. Tempt us!

Your neighbourhood

The quaint market town of Church Stretton is set in glorious countryside, on the edge of a National Trust owned wilderness, the Long Mynd. There is a rail station within 10 minutes walk. Shropshire is bliss for hikers, but there are also countless castles, gardens, and country houses to visit, and lots of activities for children. We have had 5 successful exchanges. Everyone who has stayed here has had a wonderful time, and would be happy to recommend us. Check out these sites
