“We have just spent New Year's Eve in Christchurch, at the comfortable home of Pauline and Trevor. We stayed for one week but would have stayed for one month. Their house is so lovely and homey and is located in the center of Christchurch a peaceful town in the South Coast of Dorset. The house is very quiet and has a small and lovely garden. The four of us (2 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed even in the rainy days, playing the piano, reading, chasing Raptor, their lovely cat or having some hot chocolate and teas in the various and picturesque bars of Christchurch. Trevor and Pauline were so kind and helpful since our first contact by email and giving all kinds of advice and useful information. Even their neighbours are lovely, very kind and helpful. We had the chance to visit some of the most beautiful towns in the South of England, and return to Christchurch feeling like home. When we arrived to our house in Barcelona, it was perfect and the neighbours said they didn't notice we had some friends visiting. We are still moved by their generosity and care in preparing the house to welcome us. We wouldn`t have found more comfortable in a friend's house. We feel we have this family, Trevor, Pauline and Raptor as a good friends in England, because they have been affectionate and loving since the very beginning.”

Where is it?
I live in Christchurch, which is an Historic town in Dorset.
It is a five minute walk from the train station which is on the London Waterloo to Weymouth main line. ( Under 2 hours to London in one direction, just over an hour to Weymouth in the other direction)Also
on the rail line within easy reach are Southampton, Bournemouth, Dorchester, Poole, Portsmouth and many places of interest on the South coast. Very good if you like watersports, wind/kite surfing. Lots of lovely walks, either along the coast or in the forest.
Christchurch itself is just on the edge of the New Forest, less than half a mile from the coast and has its own Quay which offers boat trips and fishing trips. The Jurassic Coastline is easily reached by car in less than an hour. In the town there are plenty of bars and restaurants, and also a cinema which dates to 1931, and shows current releases as well as live music and theatre productions.
The house is 3 miles away from Bournemouth and its beautiful sandy beaches and entertainment.
The Isle of Wight is also a day trip away, either by train and ferry, or by car ferry.
I live very close to the banks of the River Avon, and the famous Royalty Fishery, for anyone that likes coarse fishing.
www.christchurchdorset.co.uk has lots of useful information on the area.
