Our home

Our home is a small holding with a large garden and 3 acre field. It is a half-timbered cottage with oak floors downstairs and a wood-burning stove in the main lounge. The ceilings are low and beamed and there are uninterrupted views of the open countryside from every window upstairs. Our rooms are furnished with antiques and original works of art, but there is a cosy feel throughout. An interest in animals would be great(although not essential) as we have various domestic and farmyard animals. Collecting your own warm eggs for breakfast is something else!

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Kate and Graham, a`married couple, both high school teachers. We would like to visit Perth, Australia as we have family there, Montana as Graham loves everything "western" or Canada as Graham once lived there. We have never done a house exchange before, but feel that it would be a great way to experience life in another country. Our home would be great for a mature couple or a family as the children would probably enjoy the animals. We would expect to make contact via e-mail to organise a successful exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Our Cheshire home is situated on the border with Shropshire and North Wales, which makes it an ideal base for touring the North West. The historic city of Chester is 20 miles away and provides excellent shopping and tourist facilities. A little further afield we have the cities of Liverpool and Manchester. As live in a rural community, our neighbours are extremely warm and friendly and would welcome visitors to the village.
