Our home

The house is spacious and recently renovated. There are two bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with a single bed and one bedroom with a cot/child bed. There is also a double sofabed downstairs to sleep on if needed. The house comes with Alfie the cat (optional) and car (optional). The best thing about the house are the views of trees in the park from the large windows and the short walking distance to the centre of Cheltenham (a lovely spa town with excellent shopping). There is wireless internet, Wii games console and full satellite TV package for those of you wanting home comforts or something to entertain the children.

Who we are

  1. We have been married for seven years and living in this house for three years. We have two daughters, Nancy, who is three and Polly who is one in October. I work as a teacher at a local secondary school and my husband fits bathrooms and kitchens. We both enjoy travelling and have been to some interesting places such as Uganda, Alaska and Easter Island. We speak a little bit of french between us. We have done one very successful swap to Cannes, France before Nancy was born. To communicate in Spanish, Italian or German I would have to ask for some help from one of my colleagues in the language department!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Please feel free to look up the house on google maps and street view to see how close we are to Cheltenham town centre (10 minutes walk). You will see that the house is surrounded by Pittville park which has lovely walks and the famous pump rooms. There would be plenty to do without a car (bus station is walking distance and connects to the london airports), but with a car this town is an ideal base as Cheltenham is the centre of the Cotswolds. Places such as Bath and Oxford are less than an hour away as well as bigger cities such as Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff being an hours drive. There are fantastic places to eat in town as well as cotswold country pubs up on the hills with local cuisine and local beers and cider. Cheltenham is also known for its excellent shopping and Gloucester (15 mins by car/bus) for its historical docks and cathedral where Harry Potter was filmed!
