Our home

Our home is warm and sunny and was converted from a former Victorian mansion house. It feels very spacious with 15 foot high ceilings on the ground floor. It is modern throughout with wooden floors in the main living area and bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom are new and modern. There is a small south facing terraced garden leading to the car parking area behind the house.

Property features

Who we are

  1. I'm Janice (an American who has lived in Europe for over 20 years) and I live alone with my 11 year old son Jeremy and our 3 year old dog Charlie (he's a border terrier and very friendly). I've never done a home exchange before and would love to exchange with someone in Colorado because I would very much like to move back to the U.S. and I would like my son to experience life there first hand rather than as a tourist. We both love the outdoors and we love to cycle, swim, ski, hike, etc... everything that Colorado offers in abudance.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

There is much to see and do in the historic city of Canterubyr which is also ideally located as a touring base. Canterbury offers easy access to London (1 hour by high speed train) Dover/Folkestone (20 minutes drive /train)to the Eurotunnel and Ashford (15 minutes by train 20 minutes drive )and high speed Eurostar service to Paris and beyond. We live just outside Canterbury in a small village called Chartham (3 miles into town). We have local bus service and a train station in the village which is 1 stop to Canterbury and 2 stops to Ashford. You can get the high speed train from either Canterbury West or Ashford. The trip takes 1 hour from Canterbury West and 38 minutes from Ashford.
