Recently renovated with a clean fresh approach in 2005. Our holiday home can sleep up to 8 people and offers contemporary living with superb country views from every window. For full details and photos please visit the website and check out "Peak Retreat"
Newly fitted large kitchen diner with a table that seats 8 comfortably for relaxed convivial dining. A seperate lounge/snug gives comfy sofas with TV, DVD and Music System. Also on the ground floor are two bedrooms (one en-suite) and a family bathroom. There are two further bedrooms up in the loft (again one en-suite). There is a garden round three sides of the house and a small sun trap deck area to the front.

Who we are

  1. Louise is airline crew for British Airways and Brian is a Mountain Guide who also works a lot in the film industry offering safety for camera crews in hostile environments. As you can imagine we travel extensively both for work and holidays. We are both in our early fifties and have no children. Louise has two horses and we only live 3 miles away from Peak Retreat in the nearby village of Chinley. We are interested in house swapping for a variety of reasons although it will be a first time for us.
Louise and Brian take several vacations a year and await with interest to see what turns up. We like to visit different places and have a strong affinity with New Zealand - a country we would like to retire to.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

In the village of Hayfield and set within the Peak District National Park this is the ideal spot to be for an outdoor activity holiday. Hiking and mountain bike trails abound! The famous Pennine Way runs across Kinder Scout and beyond up the back bone of Britain and is accessible easily from the front door. The Peak District is also the hub for British rock climbing with both limestone and gritstone crags only a short drive away. Hayfield is a quaint English country village with a jumble of stone built terraced houses, a central cricket pitch, six excellent pubs, shops, Post Office and restaurants. The local people are friendly and helpful.
