Our home

Our Victorian family home is welcoming and spacious with a large openplan kitchen (the hub of the home, often shared with friends), which has a range cooker and breakfast area. Our cosy living room has a real fire - wood and coal supplied. There are three double bedrooms upstairs and bright bathroom with shower. Mostly stripped wooden floors and simple furnishings and decoration. We have a secluded, walled well stocked garden with sunny gravelled seating area.

Property features

Who we are

  1. We are Fiona and Ralph and have two lovely children a boy (14) and girl (12)and a three legged cat, Tiger! We enjoy travelling, eating out, having friends over and watching football (we are Charlton Athletic season ticket holders). We love living in the heart of the action and make good use of the excellent connections to central London and out into Kent. We enjoy biking - you can ride from the house into the country as we live on the edge of London. Fiona is a property journalist and Ralph is a print consultant. We have travelled extensively but have not housewapped yet. We would like to try this in the summer with the children during their school holidays.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Located within a 15 minute walk of Bromley town centre although there are numerous buses that whizz you there in minutes. Bromley is a regional shopping centre with department stores and main retail shops. Cinema and swimming. The train service is superb - 20mins to London Victoria or Blackfriars (the city of London) with all its attractions. Late services back so you can stay out as long as you want! Our patch of Bromley is known as up and coming - a mix of small cottages in a semi-urban environment, very safe and friendly. Local shops for all the basics and handy supermarket 1 minute walk. Very well placed for visiting central London and the south coast, channel tunnel to France and beyond! National trust properties like Churchill's home Chartwell and numerous castles and maritime Greenwich all an easy day trip from here. For teenagers there are three theme parks (Chessington World of Adventures, Legoland and Thorpe Park)to visit in a day (by car or train). Although with London on your doorstep you may be spoilt for choice.
