Our home

Our home is a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in the former Harbour Master's House. It has many original features, including gothic windows and oak flooring. It also has the benefit of being fully renovated 4 years ago. The large kitchen is well equipped and includes a dining area. The lounge is beautifully decorated and comfortable with two large leather sofas a good quality TV/stereo system.

Accessed via a spiral staircase are two good sized bedrooms. One has a cast iron double bed. The other has been converted into a well equiped gym/computer room with unlimited internet access. Also full multi-gym, treadmill etc.

Outside the apparment benefits from a shared courtyard/garden and a private patio area with table and chairs.

Private off-street parking is available.

Who we are

  1. We are a professional couple - Michelle and Spencer. I am 33 and work at the head office of an international bank. Michelle is a social worker. We are interested in 3-4 weeks in San Francisco in 2008. We are considerate non-smokers and would take good care of your property, and would obviously expect the same. My brother lives nearby for any help and support.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are 1 minute from the waterfront. It takes approximately an hour to walk around the harbour, but much longer if you stop in any of the many pubs and restaurants along the way.

Bristol is a beautiful city which has a fascinating history but also a very vibrant modern face. The many attractions of historic Bristol include Brunel's iconic Suspension Bridge, and the SS Great Britain (both world firsts) as well as spectacular buildings such as St. Mary Redcliffe, Bristol Cathedral, The Old Vic (the oldest working theatre in the UK), Queen Square and King Street (with it's links to great literature such as Treasure Island and Moby Dick). Among the highlights of the harbour area an art-house cinema which has long been a hub of cultural activity in Bristol and an acclaimed organic restaurant.

Nearby Clifton Village is a haven of unique shops and wine bars.

Our home is 5 minutes walk to SS Great Britain. Close to shops, restaurants, theatre, pubs. 10 minute train to Bath City. Ideal for daytrips to London (90 mins train), Cotswolds, Dorset, Cornwall, Glastonbury, Stone Henge.
