Clean, comfortable and contemporary basement flat with spacious, airy living space in converted Georgian period building. Large sash windows in living room and master bedroom make this a light apartment. There is a second guest bedroom that we also use as a study. The fully fitted kitchen is situated in the old wine cellar area of the building with a separate utility space. Generous modern bathroom with separate bath and shower. Our front terrace provides a pretty place to sit out and read the papers. In a quiet street of similar-style residential properties.
We are an anglo-aussie couple in our young fifties. I am British and work as a secondary school teacher. Gary is the Australian half of the team who works as a Bowen and Cranio-sacral therapist. We are looking for a quiet summer retreat and hope that there is someone out there who fancies a fun, small city experience in exchange. We are tidy people and would care for and respect your home as if it were our own; we are happy to look after pets/chickens/garden/pool. Both of us like to potter in the garden, travel whenever we can and a small sailing boat in Cornwall provides us with some great times.
Situated in the heart of Bristol's picturesque Clifton area. It is just a short stroll to local shops, delis, coffee bars, pubs and a wide range of restaurants. Five minutes walk away is the Clifton suspension bridge, Bristol's most famous landmark, joining Clifton Village to the historic Ashton Court estate and woodlands. In addition the flat is close to the Downs area, this is a popular place for sports, kite flying and jogging. The flat provides an ideal touring base for city and country excursions. Easy access to Bath, Oxford and London as well as the Cotswold's, South Wales, Devon and Cornwall - all within 2 hours drive. Bristol airport 20 minutes drive away with cheap flights to many European destinations (we have recently enjoyed weekend trips to Paris, Rome and Barcelona).
