Our home

Our house is a Beautiful Victorian terrace house which has been modernised throughout, but still retains period charm. The house has 3 double bedrooms (one with a single bed, one with a double and baby's cot and the master bedroom has a queen size bed with ensuite). The master bedroom is a loft conversion with incredible views over the South Downs. there is a large lounge and dining room and the kitchen has a breakfast area which opens onto the rear patio. The house is set over 4 floors. Our home is very comfortable and well looked after and we would respect your house too!

Who we are

  1. We are a married professional couple (Amy and Fenton) with two young children (3 1/2 and 10 months). We are looking to come to melbourne for 6 months from Jan - July 2014 before our son Oli starts school in the UK. I am Australian (Amy) and I would really love for my children to form close relationships with their Aussie relatives and the Australian way of life. It is also a trial to see if we want to settle in Australia for a few years. I just have to convince Fenton how great it is!!! So pease it would be great if you could help us!!

Your neighbourhood

We live in a lovely quiet family oriented street. The area is known as Port Hall and a 5 minute walk to the 7 dials area, which has a small supermarket and a number of speciality independent shops. Not to mention the lovely local pubs less than 5 mins walk away which also serve lovely food and sunday roasts. Perfect after a walk on the beach or the country side. We are very central in brighton, with a 15 minute walk to the mainline train station which takes you to London Victoria in 1hr and Gatwick Airport in 30 mins. We are a 20 minute walk to the beachfront and 20 minutes to the main shopping precinct. You will certainly leave Brighton much fitter, as we live on top of one of Brighton's many hills, There are many local buses should your legs need a rest. Brighton is unique because it is by the sea, yet 10 minutes drive sees you in the glorious South Downs, an English heritage site. There is over 100 miles of walking, beaut iful traditional Sussex villages and quintessential pubs.
