Our house is a 4 bedroom spacious family home on a quiet street but within walking distance of Brighton town centre and the beach (20 mins on foot). We overlook Preston park from the front of the house and have great views from the four front bay windows. The house is Victorian (1880) with many original features such as open fireplaces, cornicing and sash windows. Downstairs has two large living areas, one for eating and a playroom, the other we use for reading/music/TV in the evenings. The garden can be accessed from the ground and the first floor and is very sunny with a slide for the children, a trampoline, table and chairs. All the bedrooms are double in size; our son's bed has a single bed but my daughter's room has bunk beds. We have lots of toys for children and books/dvds/cds for adults.
We have recently had our 2 bathrooms re-furbished and will put up photos soon.

We are a family of four, Patrick is a TV executive and Elizabeth is an English teacher/student adviser. We have 2 children, Finn who is 9 years and our daughter Niamh, who is 6. We have 2 guinea pigs who live outside who need feeding!
We are looking for an exchange somewhere warm near a beach/town for a couple of weeks this summer holiday.
Brighton is a vibrant city by the sea with loads to do for all ages. The historic lanes in Brighton offer quaint and quirky shopping or the north lanes offer more trendy shops for youngsters. The esplanade is great in summer and extends from the marina to Hove lagoon. You can ride,stroll or rollerskate along and swim in the sea. There is an old railway, the Volks, which runs along the sea front from the main pier to the marina. There are lots of playgrounds for children. We have the beach on one side of us and the South Downs, with loads of great walking, on the other. There are beautiful country villages within 20 min drive of Brighton. There is great public transport in the area. Central London is only 50 minutes away by express train (station 10 minutes walk). There are 2 playgrounds/parks within 5 minutes walk of our house.
