Our home

If you're looking for a traditional historical English seaside home -- ten minutes' walk from all the fun of England's most famous seaside town, but safely away from the noise -- thirty seconds from the beach -- sea views from your bed -- less than an hour from London by train ... with a huge private garden to enjoy in summer too! -- you've found it here in Brighton, the UK's most cheeky city!

Property features

Who we are

  1. We're a professional married couple, late 40s/early 50s -- a BBC TV journalist/consultant and a professional gardener. We love our jobs, love our home, and love exploring new and familiar parts of the world. We prefer quirky character to corporate luxury, an hour with a book to an hour on the laptop, and a bistro with a bottle of local plonk to a fancy restaurant with an overpriced wine list.

  2. We are open to invitations for all times of year, but particularly enjoy travel in May, June and September. Long weekends often work well for us, and as we don't have children we usually try to avoid school holidays. Our home is sometimes up for grabs over Christmas and New Year, though because we go to family for Christmas, the swap may need to be non-simultaneous.

  3. We're new to this website, but have had 9 very successful swaps since 2012 on ... find us at

The best part of Brighton, for sure! The sea is OVER THE ROAD! Ten minutes' walk from the lively and historic city centre - we are away from the noise, but with Kemp Town village (supermarket, pub, post office, take-aways, butcher, bakery) one minute walk away.

Best restaurants
The Ivy, The Old Bank, The Bristol Bar
Not really our thing, but plenty of action in the city centre ten minutes' walk away - three cinemas (one art house) and theatre close by, too.
