Our home

A large, comfortable family home. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms (2 kingsize beds and 1 bunk bed)and a modern family bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk-in shower.
Downstairs is a large open plan lounge and dining room with solid oak flooring. There is also a woodburning stove in the lounge making it really cosy at night. We can ensure there is a good stock of wood for burning if you request it.
The kitchen is small but well equipped with a small breakfast bar, fan assisted oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washing machine. There is also a downstairs toilet.
The dining room leads onto a playroom/conservatory with double patio doors that open up onto the back garden. The garden is ca. 100feet long with a patio, patio heater, bbq, hammocks, 2 pear trees, sandpit, trampoline, treehouse, swings and slide. We love spending time in our sunny, peaceful garden, surrounded by trees, it's not unusual to come out in the morning and catch a squirrel running across the lawn.
We have high speed wireless broadband, cd player, dvd player, sky plus with the film, sport and children's channels. Our family car is old but reliable and available for use as an option.

As you enter the house there is a doorway immediately off to the left - this goes to a small studio flat. We currently have a lovely, mature Italian student staying there called Alessia who works so hard she is hardly ever in. You would only notice her as she comes in and out of the front door.

Who we are

  1. We are Craig and Kirsty, married with 2 children - 5 and 6 years old. A company director and social worker, we enjoy living in Brighton and all the vibrancy it has to offer. We are both well travelled and before having children we tended towards independent travel rather than package tours. Now with the children being a good age for more independent travel we feel home exchange would be a good way for us to all travel together.
We are open to offers of exchanges during the school holidays and would treat your home respectfully as we would want you to treat ours.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Situated in a leafy, safe suburb of Brighton, with the city centre and beach a 15 minute bus ride away, it is the perfect place for a family to explore and enjoy Brighton.

There are regular trains to London taking just 5 minutes so daytrips to London are pretty easy.

Brighton is one of the most vibrant, colourful and creative cities in Europe. Cosmopolitan, compact, energetic, unique, fun, lively, historic, young, exotic and free-spirited, it's a city like no other.

Brighton seafront is known for its beachfront cool, being lively, funky and fun with bands, market stalls, beach volley ball, basketball, swimming, sailing, wakeboarding. However, if you prefer a nice quiet sandy beach, you can drive further along the south coast for these.

Nestling between the South Downs (national trust protected land) there is classic beautiful English countryside just a 5 minute drive from the house offering great opportunities for walking and mountain biking.
