Our home

Comfortable typically English Victorian family home. We have helpful, friendly neighbours in an attractive neighbourhood. Our home has a good size kitchen with all mod cons, and a comfortable sitting room with sofas and TV etc. 3 bedrooms - one double and two singles. If more than four people, we could leave mattresses and bedding, and accommodate up to 6. You will have broadband internet access as well as a baby grand piano to play in our messy music room/office. Our house is a home and although it is clean it is not hotel standard! It is comfortable and welcoming.

Property features

Who we are

  1. My husband is a professional actor, and I am a secondary school teacher. We have four children aged between 16 and 30. Between 3 and 6 might travel. We have one cat we would like you to feed (but can arrange something if not possible) We enjoy travelling in our campervan when it is warm but would like to be able to travel elsewhere, including Great Britain, by house swapping, in the school holidays (Feb, April, May, July, August, October, December at set dates). We love Europe, in particular France (nice weekend exchanges possible from here), Italy & Southern Germany but if you like our house and are interested in an exchange please contact us wherever you are. We love it here in Brighton and are sure you will too!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We are 10 mins on foot from Central Brighton, the pier with funfair, and artist quarter. Three mins walk from large park with a lake and children's playground. You should visit The extraordinary Royal Pavilion, museums and theatre. There is dining for all budgets. Brighton is famous for excellent high street shopping and it's quirky shopping in the old fashioned Brighton Lanes. Perfect for families or couples wanting a place near to the centre of this fabulous city, and still only 50 mins to London by train enabling visits to all London attractions with ease. The beautiful Sussex countryside is also a short hop away - you could be surveying the South of England from the top of a hill in the protected South Downs in less than ten minutes in a car. 40 mins fast train journey from Gatwick to Brighton, and only 4 hours ferry from Dieppe in France.
