Our home

5 bedroomed, 3 storied house. 1 bedroom is an office, the other a treatment room.

There are 2 large living rooms, 1 opening onto the deck and the 70 foot garden and the other at the front of the house has a hand made bay window which overlooks the gorgeous park.

The house has been renovated throughout (never agin - it almost ended in divorce!). It has a modern feel to it. The kitchen is large with all facilities. There is also a small bathroom/toilet downstairs.

On the 1st floor there are 2 bedrooms, the office, with internet access (no wireless, only dial up, but perfectly ok) and treatment room, together with the good sized modern family bathroom which has a bath and a separate shower.

On the 2nd floor there is a large bedroom, with an en-suite bathroom with large tub. Very modern, with Italian fittings and double sinks. There are Juliette balconies overlooking the garden.

The house is very spacious, has luxurious carpet throughout and heated flooring in the kitchen. It is a lovely home.

The garden has various visitors such as squirrels, magpies, seagulls, robins, foxes (at night only when you are sleeping), thrushes, and wood pidgeons which share it perfectly with our 2 lovely cats (and no, foxes do not eat cats!).

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The neighbourhood of Hove is a nice and peaceful one. It is a residential area. The neighbours are very friendly indeed. The house is right by the Park which has tennis courts, lawn bowls, a large children's play area, running club, football 5 aside courts, outdoor gym equipment, and a cycling/walking track.

There are a few shops nearby (like JJB Sports, Toys R Us, Currys, Burger King), although the centre of Hove (approx 6 mins on the bike and car) provides all that you need in necessities, like Boots, WH Smith, plenty of cafes, banks, post office, drycleaners and restaurants etc.

There is a supermarket about 10 minutes walk away, together with a dog racing track, and gym. Within 15 minutes drive there are 5 other supermarkets.

The beach is about 5 minutes by bike or car. There are 2 bikes available for use. The beach is a pebble beach which has its advantages of not covering you in sand!

Brighton is about 10 minutes by car, or 15-20 by bus, or 15 mins by bike. There are lots of shops in Brighton. It is a very vibrant, cosmopolitan city. It has everything you need within the vicinity. Like London only the people are more friendly and it's cheaper! There are comdey clubs, theatres, lots of live bands, untold restaurants and pubs, and some of the finest food in England. There are swimming pools, gyms, cinemas, Brighton Marina which has lots of shops and restaurants and boats of course, art exhibitions, the Brighton Festival every weekend in May which has many exciting things going on throughout the whole of the city, lots of free events every weekend during the summer like Paddle Round the Pier, many car rallies like minis, old classics, vintage, hot rods, and motor bike rallies etc. There are many live music venues and hundreds of local live bands who perform weekly. There are exhibition centres that have the more well known bands playing like the Brighton Centre, Concorde 2, or the Dome. And I mustn't forget the seafront promenade which is always fantastic to cycle or walk along with all its bars and restaurants where you can people watch for hours, and then there is the famous Brighton Pier which one must go and experience, or play the slot machines or games, or have some good ole English fish and chips. Going east from Brighton Pier you have Concorde 2, peter pan's playground, beach volleyball courts, the nudist beach, and Brighton Marina with the cinemas, supermarket, restaurants, hotel and bars.
Brighton is the place to be in the UK. You can't possibly come here and not find something enjoyable to do.
