Our home

Sorry we cannot have young chidren or pets to stay.
We are only looking for short breaks / weekend exchanges within the UK untill summer 2011.
Our house is on the edge of a villiage on the Dorset Jurrassic Coastline, which is where the fossils are found. The house is not expensively furnished, but is welcoming, comfortable and clean.
We have a large collection of films and books, and a lovely garden.

We have a large driveway if you bring/hire a car or campervan. This is an ideal location for a long or short stay , exploring the south west of the uk, or relaxing right here. The local area is full of beautiful places to visit and the tourist bus stops outside the house.
The accomodation - One main double bedroom, One single bedroom available, plus Two living rooms, with a double sofa bed, the other has a very large sofa. The house can sleep 4, or up to 6 people, still leaving the kitchen breakfast room free, this leads to a lovely south facing garden with beautiful views of the jurassic coast path and sea a short walk from the house.
We have a Cat who needs to be kept inside, but if this is a problem we can send him to stay elsewhere.

Who we are

  1. I am a single mum, with two children in thier twenties. I am an artist and naturopath.
We all love places that have artistic elements, with galleries or exhibitions to visit.
We love vibrant cities, and seaside locations, but do not wish to visit very remote locations. Europe and usa locations must have public transport - As i cannot drive on the left yet!
We are happy to look after your pets, but would prefer not large dogs or exotic pets.
We love our home, and im looking foward to being able to share this lovely place with likeminded people . We wish to exchange with people who will treat it and the contents with care, as we will yours.
We have visited many places as individuals and as a family, but never done a holiday exchange. We have always found hotels and holiday apartments rather cold and uninviting and so are hoping this idea may suit us better.

Your neighbourhood

The house benefits from being right on the Stunning Jurassic Heritage coast. In a picture postcard villiage with national trust land all around. The Jurrassic coast footpath (this runs for 95 miles ) and our beautiful quiet local beach, is a half mile down a sleepy lane from our back door.
There are 2 regular bus routes that stop directly at the house that go to all the main towns Exeter,Weymouth,Bournemouth,Taunton. The Jurassic Double decker coast bus stops outside my house. http://www.jurassiccoast.com/283/visiting-the-coast-31/getting-to-and-around-the-jurassic-coast-148/jurassic-coast-bus-service-464.html
There are Train and coach links nearby to go further afield - a Day trip to London is manageable.
Our villiage is picture postcard perfect.. with local shop, 3 country pubs , and a tea room , aswell as the Beach all within walking distance.
There are several Small Market towns nearby to browse, and lots of beaches - it is a very versatile area, and a fantastic spot for a holiday. http://www.jurassiccoast.com/
