Our tasteful three - bedroom town house is newly built and on three stories set in a beautiful, new residential development along a quiet 'no through road'. The sunny, modern kitchen/dining area, on the middle floor is well - equipped with lovely views of the river Severn, and the living room is spacious and comfortable. There is a double bed in the top main bedroom which has a walk in wardrobe, and a convertible double futon in the second bedroom on the same
floor which we use as a study and guest room. On the lower floor there is a utility room, with access to the back garden, next door to a single bedroom that has its own shower room and WC attached. The house has pleasant gardens at the back and front.
Tammy is a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist and Organisational Consultant working predominantly from home. Keith is a teacher of French and German (formerly Head of Modern Languages). We have a pretty and affectionate cat which we ask you to look after.
The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful but within easy walking distance of friendly, bustling High Street at the top of the hill on which the town was built in Norman times and which is served by a cliff railway offering a spectacular panorama of the surrounding countryside. (The only inland fernicular in Europe).
Bridgnorth itself is an unusual Shropshire market town having a lot to offer in terms of historical and general interest. We are told that there are 17 separate steps or routes leading up the hill to High Town. On one of these is a small theatre which has recently been refurbished. The town boasts a cinema, a well equipped Leisure Centre, a lively street market held at weekends underneath the arches of the Elizabethan Town Hall. There is a profusion of quaint pubs, inns and shops as well as a working steam railway which provides regular services along the scenic Severn valley as far as the tourist town of Bewdley in Worcestershire (and which has a Safari park). In June we have the Hayden Festival and there are several other local music/cultural festivals throughout the year.
There is easy access to other major centres. Thirty minutes away are the gastronomic delights of Ludlow which is wellknown for its restaurants, three of which have Michelin stars and its famous Marches Food and Drink Festival held in the mediaeval castle grounds each September. The county town of Shrewsbury with its delightful Tudor back streets and unusual shop is 35 minutes away.
