We are on the edge of Braintree, a small market town about 35 miles northeast of London and 15 miles from Stansted airport. The local town is a mile and half away - it takes about 20 mins to walk to town - and there is a bus out front which runs to the local town and train station. It takes one hour to get to London. Stansted airport is 20 mins from here. We are about half an hour by car from Colchester with its good shopping and castle. We also have a Designer Outlet shopping area in Braintree, a Multi-screen Movie complex, restaurants, and leisure centres. There is an Equestrian centre nearby which has frequent horse events. We have several golf courses in the area. There are also many National Trust Historic Properties which are open from April to October. We are about 45 minutes from the coast. There are many very old pubs in this area most of which serve food as well. We are about an hour from Cambridge which has historic Colleges, a botanical garden and Fitzwilliam Museum. The Imperial War Museum at Duxford is about 45 minutes from here. It is possible to take daytrips over to France leaving from Dover. is an informative website on our area.
