Our home

This is our second home and is located in a quiet and beautiful village near to the ancient city of Lancaster and the Lake District also. Our home is very comfortable, clean, warm and inviting. It has a fitted kitchen and dining room and a separate lounge. There are three double sized bedrooms and the lounge could accommodate a bedsettee if required. The front bedrooms overlook Morecambe Bay which is famous for its beauty and the Lakeland Hills beyond. The rear bedrooms overlook the tranquil Lancaster Canal - which is very well used by tourists. Walking and narrow boat trips are very popular. The property is conveniently located; making the Lake District and the cities of Lancaster and Preston very easily accessible. Lancaster is a university city and therefore has much to offer for old and young alike. Its famous and ancient Castle has guided tours and its museums are very well presented.The property is registered, star graded and annually assessed by the English Tourist Board and is also on the Visit Britain register. We would respect your property in just the same way as our own property which we look after meticulously.We are not tied to specific dates, as the property is a second home, so it is not essential for our exchange dates to be exactly the same.

  1. We are a middle aged professional couple, a Chartered Building Surveyor and a Registered Nurse.

    We have a very well behaved teenage son who is almost ready to go off to University.

    We have two very well behaved and house trained Border Terriers (Millie and Jasmine)who sometimes stay in kennels when we travel abroad.

Our property is situated in a cul-de-sac in a very peaceful village.

Kendal (the gateway to the Lake District and the National Park) is about 25 minutes away by car and Lancaster is about 15 minutes away by car.

The beach is about 15 minutes on foot or 7 minutes in a car and the Lancaster Canal, 5 minutes on foot.

Close by are areas of outstanding natural beauty such as Silverdale (about 15 minutes by car).
