Our home

Our home is in a quiet lane in the New Forest National Park overlooking the open forest with ponies, cattle, donkeys and pigs roaming freely outside the gate. The back garden looks over paddocks of the Beaulieu Estate.
The house is light and bright and comprises on the ground floor a Sitting Room with doors to the patio under the vine, a log burning fire & comfortable settees, Entrance hall/Dining Room with a solid yew table seating eight, large Kitchen/Family room with doors to a small patio, 42 inch TV & settee, Office with door to the garden Large Orangery/Conservatory ŵith doors to the garden & table seating 6, Cloakroom and small Utility Room
On the first floor we have two large Bedrooms overlooking the open forest, one ensuite, single Bedroom and Family Bathroom with bath and shower. The beds are super king size (or twins) and a small double with two TV's.
Our garden is a forest garden surrounded by oak trees and we have a cattle grid to stop animals coming into the garden.

Who we are

  1. We are Peter and Pam, both retired after living in Hong Kong and Singapore. We are both addicted to travelling and exploring and try to find somewhere new every year. Sailing is our main hobby but we also like to walk, cycle and play tennis and golf.
If we are able to exchange over Christmas 2016, we would need a house with four bedrooms as we would like to have our family together.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Beaulieu is a beautiful little village on the Beaulieu river, the home of Lord Montagu of Beaulieu. The area within the New Forest is wonderful to explore and is only 15-20 minutes from the sea. A 45 minute ferry journey takes you to The Isle of Wight. The ponies, cattle and donkeys that roam freely are no problem other than to slow traffic to a standstill as they wander along! It's a wonderful part of the country and we feel very lucky to live here. Although we are rural we are within easy reach of the city of Southampton and various villages and towns.
Local activities: Walking, Cycling in the Forest and coastal, tennis, golf, swimming, sailing, ferry to the Isle of Wight.
Local attractions: National Motor Museum, Lord Montegu of Beaulieu Palace House, Bucklers Hard and Maritime Museum. Good shopping and excellent Saturday Market in Lymington, Pub Restaurants and Cafés.
Airports: London Heathrow approximately 85 miles, Southampton and Bournmouth for European destinations about 30 minutes away.
