Our home

Lovely, light, spacious Victorian family home built in 1893, 15 minutes' walk to the historic centre of Bath city and a 10 minute drive into beautiful countryside.

Our home has 4 bedrooms (1 en suite, all the others with their own sinks), a large eat-in kitchen, a living room, dining room, family bathroom and (since March 2016) a large garden room with 6 metre bi-fold doors looking out over the garden, and a large fully equipped utility room.

The house has gardens to 3 sides, with a large table at the front overlooking grass tennis courts, and a rear garden with grass and decking (photos to come).

We are all set up for small children, with cotbed, toddler bed, highchair, endless toys, bikes, bike seats etc.

Who we are

  1. Our family is made up of Kit, Helen and Milly. Kit and Helen are both self employed lawyers and we mostly work from home, going into London when we need to. Our daughter Milly is 4 and loves being outside in the garden, painting, cycling, doing puzzles and watching Frozen...

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in Bath, a 15 minute walk down into the historic city centre and to the train station (Bath Spa - 1hr 25mins to London).

The area our house is in is called Bear Flat, and has great local amenities including one of the top restaurants in Bath (Menu Gordon Jones - amazing Tripadvisor reviews...), a lovely local café (the Bear Pad), a really good all day kitchen/pub (Zazus Kitchen), an Italian deli, a supermarket, pharmacy, gym and wine shop.

Bath city is just a short walk away and has amazing architecture, shops and restaurants/theatre. We moved here in 2014 having lived in London for more than a decade and it has all the amenities you could want from a city whilst being compact, easily walkable and in beautiful countryside, all a very short walk or drive away. Bristol, a fascinating city, is just 15 minutes from Bath by train.

The area is really well set up for children, with several children's play areas within a short walk (including Alexandra Park, which has amazing views over the city), a city farm, off-road cycle paths out to country villages (and pubs!), indoor play areas for bad weather and child-friendly cafes in Bear Flat as well as the city.
