Our home

Large 1930's style detached bungalow with a lounge and dining room plus a spacious kitchen. There are 2 feature fireplaces in the bungalow. The bungalow has 3 bedrooms; 2 double bedrooms and 1 single bedroom that would be ideal for a child/ office. The property has 1 bathroom with bath/shower/toilet and one separate toilet. The bungalow is fully double glazed, has full gas central heating and has good cavity wall and loft insulation. There is a garage which will hold one car plus driveway parking for at least 4 cars. The property is surrounded by fencing and hedging so is completely secure for pets. The property has a large back garden with a vegetable plot and fruit trees and is sheltered and not overlooked so is ideal for dining in the summer. There is also a small lawned area at the front of the property with a hedge and flower border. The house is set back from a reasonably quiet road which is 2kms from the centre of Attleborough town which has all the necessary facilities including 2 large supermarkets, doctors, dentist, gyms, library, schools and a bus and train service. The closest city of Norwich is 24kms away.

Who we are

  1. Our names are Heather and Tony, both early retirees and have recently secured residency for New Zealand where our only daughter resides. We would be interested in a house swap with someone from Christchurch New Zealand, for 6 months to a year. We would like to do this exchange to see if we would like to live permanently in the country. We are both very fit and active people, we enjoy the outdoors especially walking with our dog Pebbles who we would like to bring with us. We take a pride in our house which is tastefully and stylishly decorated and we have lived in this house for over 30 years. We have been very happy here and have enjoyed the neighbourhood and the delights that Norfolk has to offer.

Your neighbourhood

The neighbourhood has access to many rural walks, is close to Thetford Forest, the Norfolk Broads and also the North Norfolk coastline. The immediate neighbourhood is quiet and friendly with lovely neighbours either side of the property. The closest town of Attleborough has many fine pubs and eateries and the property is in a very good location for visiting other areas of Norfolk and Suffolk which are very picturesque. There are good rail and coach links to London. London can be reached by train in 90 minutes.
