Our home

Our home was designed by my architect husband and completed in 2018. It is detached with two storeys. There is a large kitchen island with integrated hob and seating for 4. There are two ovens, dishwasher and cappucino maker. There is a dining area with seating for at least 6. We have a utility and a small washroom downstairs. There is a big living room with TV and Xbox.
Upstairs there are four good sized bedrooms, one with an ensuite including shower. There's a family bathroom with shower and bath. There is a good sized garden accessed by big patio doors.
We are looking for 2 weeks from end of July to mid August 2020.
Also open to shorter trips in the UK or Ireland next Easter or October.

Who we are

  1. We are a married couple aged 48 and 52 and have two daughters aged 11 and 13. Scott is an architect and I'm a primary school teacher. Scott designed our home and it was completed in August 2018 and we love it! We had two very successful exchanges to France and Germany and are now very excited to exchange our new home and have some more adventures.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Kinross is a market town with a population of about 4,000 people. It is an ideal location as the countryside is on the doorstep but main cities can be reached in less than an hour. It is situated on the banks of Loch Leven where there is a ruined castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned!
We are located 1 minute from The High Street where there is a butcher, cafes, grocery shop etc. We are less than 5 minutes walk to Loch Leven where there is a play park, beautiful views, a pier (during summer months a boat goes to the island and ruined castle ), a cycle/walking path around the whole Loch (13 kilometres), we have some bikes you can use. There is a beautiful nature reserve situated on the Loch , The Bistro restaurant and the popular Loch Leven Larder Shop and restaurant. We are lucky to have two great local golf courses, Kinross and Milnathort ( we have some clubs you can borrow).
The historic city of Edinburgh can be reached by bus in 45 minutes or by car, it is only 10 minutes to walk to the main bus stop. There is the amazing Edinburgh Festival on in August where you can experience dance, music, theatre, comedy, opera etc from around the world. The cities of Perth, Dundee, Dunfermline and Stirling can also all be reached within an hour. There are many beautiful hills close by and forest walks. We also have some lovely beaches at a close distance (St Andrews and Ellie are the best) There really is something for everyone!
