Our home

Property in the Lake District is very desirable and so we feel privileged to own this vacation residence which is located within a large slate house, approximately 150 years old. Extensive landscaped gardens surround the property which contains a stream running through it and beautiful views of the surrounding hills and woodlands.
The apartment has been completely renovated, newly furnished and equipped.

We can also offer access for short stays to a small studio in Corbridge, Northumberland in Hadrians Wall country. This is a self contained building, which has recently been renovated, adjacent to our main home.

Who we are

  1. We are Olwen and Ian, recently retired civil engineer and Director of Human Resources. We have a daughter who lives in Wanaka and we love to visit her and stay in NZ.

We enjoy walking and cycling and going to the gym and generally keeping fit and healthy.

We enjoy socializing, entertaining and meeting new people.

We are tidy and well organized and have enjoyed renovating property in the past.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Ambleside is a bustling town in the centre of the mountains not far from Lake Windermere and with good access to many other lakes, mountains and small villages. It has cinemas, bars, good restaurants and a theatre in the nearby town of Kendal.

This is an excellent area in England, for those who enjoy fell walking as there are various guide books which provide detailed information about walks around the mountains and lakes.
