Our home

Our home is a Victorian terraced house set in a quiet side street within walking distance of Abingdon town centre, ten miles south of the historic city of Oxford. It has three bedrooms, two double and one single, and is laid out over three floors. We have two reception rooms and a kitchen diner that overlooks the 130 ft garden. Our bathroom is on the first floor and we also have a second toilet on the ground floor. We have original fire places in most rooms including the bathroom.

Your neighbourhood

Abingdon is the oldest town in England with the town charter being signed in 1556. It is a beautiful market town that is situated on the River Thames ten miles south of Oxford. There are regular markets and events held in the town square which is dominated by the County Hall built in 1680. Abingdon has a range of shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs. There are also a number of parks, open air and indoor swimming pools, tennis courts, a leisure centre, and the County Hall Museum. We have excellent walks and cycle paths along the river and in a number of picturesque villages within the local area. The bus at the end of our road will take you directly into the centre of Oxford within twenty minutes. Oxford has a number of theatres, museums, art galleries as well as a large shopping area. You can visit many of the famous Oxford Colleges and the Botanic gardens. We are approximately half an hour from Henley on Thames, Blenheim Palace (Churchill's birthplace & UNESCO world heritage site), Cotswold Water Park and the Cotswolds. We are about an hours drive from Stonehenge (UNESCO World Heritage Site) , Bath, Bristol, Stratford on Avon, Warwick Castle, Windsor Castle and Legoland (children's amusement park). Central London is just over an hour away by train or bus.
