Our home

Our Georgian house is arranged over four floors, with a kitchen and play room on the ground floor, small toilet and stairs leading to the garden. On the 1st floor: living room and large bathroom. On the second floor: master bedroom and children's bedroom and a study/ bedroom on the 3rd floor. To the rear, there is a large 90 foot garden. We have highspeed wireless internet throughout the house. We are a 3 minute walk from our Clissold park with playground and tennis facilities. The house is very near to the bus stop with regular buses into Central London.

Who we are

  1. We have a 2-year-old son and 4 year-old daughter. We both work for international charities - James as an international grant manager and Suzanne in communications - in London. We're a mixture of Canadian and British and have traveled and lived extensively overseas.

We like the concept of the house exchange - us seeing another country as a resident and having the comforts of home, while someone enjoys our home. We would expect to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in the UK.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The house is located close to Church Street in Stoke Newington, which has a funky vibe. It feels like a village in many ways, but is located in central London. Church street has lots of cafes and restaurants. It is less than five minutes walk to Clissold park with playground and tennis facilities and to a newly built sports/ leisure centre. In 40 minutes on the bus or the tube you can be at anywhere in downtown London (British Museum in 20 mins and Oxford Circus in about 30-40 mins).
