Our home

Our spacious flat (south-facing) commands views across the city of St. Gallen and to the Säntis mountain. The flat is in an historic property, with high rooms and a wide balcony in a quiet part of town, near the university. 10 minutes walk to the main railway station, with onward connections direct to Zürich and Münich. The city includes the UNESCO world heritage site of the cathedral precincts with its stunning monastic library, a modern theatre, art galleries and an attractive old town. Near our flat is a small woods and it is only a short journey by car or train to the rolling countryside of Appenzell or to the shores of Lake Constance.

Who we are

  1. We are Lars (tri-national: British, Swiss and New Zealand) and Franziska (bi-national: Swiss/British)togehter with our son Julian (4 years old). After a very successful house exchange last year to Australia, we are looking forward to another exchange for the summer holidays in 2009. We would particularly like an English-speaking country for our son, who is bilingual. We enjoy modern art, time to relax over a good meal with friends and theatre and cinema.
