Our home

Our romantic 5-room-apartment is situated in the middle of the old town of Berne. We don't have a lot of comfort (toilet in the corridor, no bathroom, only shower), but a very artistic atmosphere and you will feel like back in another epoch. We have a very friendly neighbourhood and are allowed to play music instruments (piano and e-guitar in the house) and use the idyllic garden. Also children are very welcome. The two large youth bedrooms are bright and very quiet, the bedroom1 beside the living room is rather small, but homelike.

Who we are

  1. We are both classical musicians with two teenagers (13&12-year old boys). We love to live in a metropolis, but we would also like very very much to make holidays at the sea. We have not done a home exchange before but are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see yours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Switzerland.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

We live in the heart of the old city, in a very idyllic atmosphere with a lot of small shops nearby. In this part of the town you feel like in a village, with a lot of nice old houses and beautiful promenades along the river and parks. You don't need to have a car, in 10 minutes you reach the main station, in 5 minutes the famous Bärengraben, in 1 minute the river Aare. And with the train you will reach the Bernese Oberland and the mountains in 30-60 minutes.
