Our home

Nice and newly refurbished (2011) townhouse from 1911 in the middle of Basel. It's very quite and family friendly.
There is the living room and an open kitchen on the ground floor.
You can just sit outside the kitchen on a wooden terrace. We also have a small garden.
Our sleeping rooms are in the first floor, one room with a kingsize bed and the others with single beds. There is a bathroom with toilette and shower.
In the attic is an additional French bed and also a second bathroom.
We also use the cellar, where the children can play table football and dart and where the washing machine and other things are.

Who we are

  1. We are a family of 4. My husband Lukas and me are both teachers at a grammar school. Our son is 10 and our daughter is 6 years old. They are well behaved and treat things carefully.
We will take care of your house with a lot of respect, and we trust that you will do the same with our house.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Basel lies in the heart of Europe, on both banks of the Rhine. The city is the centre of the idyllic border triangle of France, Germany and Switzerland – lying between the Swiss Jura, Germany’s Black Forest and the Vosges in Alsace.
We live 7 minutes by bicycle to downtown Basel and the Rhein. And also only ten minutes to the forest. There are tram ways and buses to the surroundings of Basel. If you like to go hiking on the hills you're able to do so within 30 minutes by tram.
Our house is situated near two playgrounds (3 min. to walk) and two bigger parks (8 min. to walk). Our children use to play outside the house on the sidewalk and the tiny street.
It takes only one hour by train or car to Zurich, Bern, Luzern, Freiburg (Germany), Mulhouse, Strasbourg, Colmar (France). It's also possible to cycle or travel by train/car around Alsace (France) and south of Germany.
There is the "Europapark" in Rust, just 40 minutes by car and lovely Jura to hike.
It needs 1 1/2 hours by car or train to go to the Alps.
