We built this house in a small village called Santa Lucia de Ocon, 35 km far (30 min.)from Logrono, in order to stay weekends with our childrens, but when we discover exchange homes it tooks wings! We have exchanged more than 20 times and all of them have been maravellous experiences. You can see more information in our web nuestracasaensantalucia.blogspot.com.
“Hemos pasado un fin de semana en esta bonita casa de La Rioja y a pesar de haber hecho muchas cosas nos ha sabido a poco. Nos ha dado tiempo a visitar los alrededores, pasear y comer la estupenda comida de la zona regada por sus inigualables vinos, pero nos han quedado cosas pendientes... Juan y Rosalia son encantadores y nos han dado muy buenas recomendaciones. Os mando un saludo.”
During many years we have traveled with our children, Teresa and Elena, but they have grew up and left home, so now we usually go my wife and me. We do not smoke and do not have pets. We are Juan (60) and Rosalia (55). I am architect but I work as teacher in a School of Design, and my wife is Pediatrician.
We have a very kind neighbours just in front of our house, a couple of retired artist called Felix and Rosa, that always have helped our exchangers. We are very grateful to them because they are one of the best point of our exchanges. But the main point of the staying in our house is the peaceful of the area and the short distances to the service points: many small town sorrounding with restaurants, small shops and bar y the city of Logroño to 35 kms.
This flat is our 2nd residence, a place to enjoy with the family, with or without children. Our apartment is simple, it is a second home that is not used...
