Our home

The apartment has three bedrooms and a lot of light. The kitchen is big and fully furnished. It is really ideal to have nice holidays near the beach.

Who we are

  1. I am a 24 years old doctoral student of political science who has to travel quite often because of courses, research stays and so on. This year I do a course in Oslo at the end of July and will be at the University of California-Irvine for three months in autumn. In the last case I think that it could be nice if I had the opportunity to visit cities such as San diego, San Francisco or Los Angeles for a weekend or so during that period.
My parents are both teachers and they have done several house exchanges in previous years to London, the North of France and Italy. We discovered that this is a really good way to travel.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is a second residence approximately one our away from Barcelona in a beautiful middle-sized village named sant Feliu de Guixols (see: http://www.guixols.net/turisbeni.htm) in the North coast of Spain.
It is located at five minutes walking distance form the beach. In that part of the coast the beaches are small and surrounded by rocks and forest. It is not that full of buildings and tourist oriented places as other parts of the Spanish coast.
You have a lot of possibilities to do nice walks and there are interesting site seeings. Barcelona is not far away, though there is no train and you only can go by bus or by car.
In a walking distance of a couple of minutes you can find two very nice local markets where farmers sell directly vegetables, conserves, eggs and so on. You can also buy fresh fish very near to the beach.
