Our home

This cozy apartment is only minutes away from the beautiful beaches and vibrant nightlife of San Sebastian. The apartment has three bedrooms--one with a double bed, the second with a trundle bed, and the third with a single bed. Excellent views from the spacious and bright living room. The kitchen was remodeled six years ago and has all new appliances. Set at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, the apartment was built in the 1940s and still retains an old flavor with large windows and high ceilings. Please note: the apartment is a third floor walk-up with no elevator. All rooms are exterior, and have windows facing out to gardens.

Who we are

  1. Diana is a research analyst and writer, and Javier is a social worker. We have two children, Naomi 15 and Jordi 11. We all love to travel and have done a number of home exchanges. We are gone every summer from July 1 to August 23d and would be happy to lend the house out during that period. We are actively looking for an exchange for Spring Break 2011 to either a nice beach area in Florida on the Gulf side or skiing in Colorado or Utah.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Downtown San Sebastian is only a thirty minute walk or five minute bus ride from the flat. The neighborhood is very quiet and beautifully landscaped with tall trees and flowers. Shops, bars and parks are an easy walk. San Sebastian is a great city--fantastic, local fresh food, a vibrant and active old part with bars, shops and restuarants, wonderful views, and of course, two beautiful beaches. In just five minutes you can walk to the local train station and travel to small villages into the heart of the Basque country. The local train (Euskotren) to Hendaye (France) is a about a fifteen minute walk from the flat. San Sebastian is a cultural center of Spain, and has great activities year round, including a wonderful jazz festival every summer ( and free concerts on the beach.
