Our home

I offer a cosy and well-distributed apartment in a convenient and quiet neighbourhood of Salamanca, 10 minutes to the city centre. I have two bedrooms -one with two single beds and the other one with a big bed-, a living room with a comfortable sofa, a well equipped kitchen, a complete bathroom with jacuzzi and a toilet with a shower. There is a balcony with great views to the horizon too.

Who we are

  1. This duplex has been my family's summer home for a lot of years. We live in Salamanca (near Madrid), but we escape there whenever we can (less than we'd like to). My two sisters, my father (widower), my husband and me used to travel all together to a different destination, but now we have a baby girl born in December 2012 and my sister and her husband another one born in June 2013! We are culture-oriented people (cultural manager, librarian, teachers) and love living new experiences. The number of travellers would vary dependiente on the destination and availability.

Your neighbourhood

The apartment is placed in a very lively area, but no traffic sound at all. The block of flats has a park, a sports court and a supermarket. There are all kind of shops at less than 100 m (cake shop, chemist's, fishmonger's, greengrocer's, nice "tapas" bars...). The train station, with cinemas, shops and restaurants, is about 300 m away. A nice 13 minutes walk leads you to the old city of Salamanca, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988. It's an amazing city to discover while strolling through its streets. Salamanca is called "the golden city" due to the colour of its historical buildings. Have a look at these links and you'll understand everything!: (official tourism site) (look for "Spanish, live it in Salamanca" or "Salamanca única > award winning videos on the city)
The airport of Valladolid (Ryanair flights) is 50 minutes away by car.
Ideally located as a touring base, Salamanca offers easy access to the medieval cities of Ávila and Segovia in around one hour, and also to the picturesque area of mountains with delightful little towns such as La Alberca and Candelario, or even to the Portuguese border, with lots of interesting historical villages and excellent food!
If you like skiing, there is a new station, called "La Covatilla", in Béjar, a town one hour away from Salamanca:
