Our home

My apartment is in the MOLINAR/PORTIXOL area, which is situated 2 kilometres east from Palma de Mallorca. It has 2 bedrooms (1 double and 1 single)so the max. would be 3 persons, a living room with integrated dining room, a separate kitchen, 1 bathroom, 1 washkitchen and a small balcony over viewing a square and the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range.

Who we are

  1. Hello! My name is Barbara and I'm in my mid-thirties. Living since 5 years on this beautiful island it's now time to spend my holidays not only on this island and as I work in the tourism industry (Sales & Marketing Manager) I would love to see something else, than hotels. I will treat your place like I treat mine: with care. I am likely to travel alone, but also would like the option of being 2 (adults). Very important: I have a cat and he is the real boss at home and he comes along with an exchange, so you would need to take care of him during your exchange.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Molinar/Portixol is an old fishing suburb of Palma which has become a residential zone, with a cycling lane toward the beach of Ciutat Jardí. The neighbourhood is quiet, the beach is only few steps away and on the promenade you find plenty of restaurants and cafes. In only 1 minute walking distance you have the public transport to Palma (with its art galleries & museums, shopping possibilities, fantastic cathedral "La Seu", jazz clubs, night-life and more great places to eat). ####### The island: There is more to see than the three S's: Sun, Sand and Sea (208 beaches). You will find over 20 golf courses on the island and the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana mountain range with its beautiful region of olive groves, pine forests and ochre villages, with a spectacularly rugged coastline. ###### My personal recommendation: The island wines are incredible and currently enjoying a revival ? visit the different "bodegas" (wine cellars) and try out wines from wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, dark Pinot Noir or local grapes like Manto Negro, Callet or Monastrell.
