Your neighbourhood

Nice terraced house near the beach, a lagoon with ducks and birds, children playing area, bikes.Type in "MERA,CALLE FERRADURA" on Google Earth to properly see its location & environs We are located near sea side(3 minutes walking across a nice park), 70 km away from Santiago de Compostela, 100 km away from Fisterra (Europe's land end) and well connected with the highways network. So it`s suitable for visiting all Galicia, Asturias and north Portugal (Oviedo, Leon and Porto are located 3 hours away). Sir Francis Drake sacked A Coruña in 1589 and its location is rather like his home town of Plymouth. The old town with the 12th-century Romanesque Santiago Church, the first stop for disembarked English pilgrims en route to Santiago, and in the Jardín de San Carlos is the granite tomb of General Sir John Moore, who died fighting Napoleonic invaders in 1809.So as you can see we are very welcomig¡¡¡ Round the headland is the Roman Torre de Hércules, which is reputed to be the world's oldest functioning lighthouse. Further on you will reach the modernistic Domus, a hands-on museum dedicated to mankind. A 60 km motorway drive will bring you to Santiago de Compostela, the start of the pilgrim's walk across northern Spain. The city is dominated by the massive cathedral above the alleged tomb of the apostle.Galicia is famous becouse of its food and marvellous white wine(albariño,godello, ribeiro, etc.
