Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The village has 3000 inhabitants, mostly Spanish. It is some 2000 years old.
It was discovered by the Roman Emperor Caesar(hence its name), because of the local mountain spring water, and the nearby Roman Sulphur Baths...which allegedly healed his poor skin! The village is built on the side of a precipice which commands views of the local hills and sea. It is known as the most photographed village in Spain. Numerous films and adverts are filmed here because of its spectacular scenary. Casares is situated only 20 mins drive from the Meditteranean coast. It is only a 30 min easy drive to Gibraltar, the British Island where you can drink a pint of beer, see British policemen, and go up to see Europes last remaining monkeys!
There are so many historic towns, cities or villages to explore, you will need to come back again. "Seville", the home of Flamenco, "Cordoba", the ancient Arab city with a beautiful cathedral, "Jerez", the home of Sherry and horsemanship, "Malaga", where the new Picasso museum is housed.
You could take private Flamenco lessons at home, or learn Spanish.
There are beaches to suit everyone: rocky inlets, white sandy beaches, surf beaches, rivers, lakes and any amount of water sports.
In the village is a huge swimming pool and tennis courts. Locally there are Andalucian horses to ride or watch preform. Nearby are 3 Polo grounds.
