Our home

Our house is situated in the centre of the village just walking distance from local bars and restaurants. The house was originally built some 500 years ago and we have lovingly restored it to a high standard taking care not to loose its wonderful character.

Jimena De La Frontera is a beautiful Spanish village on the road up to the historic City of Ronda. Jimena boasts its own castle built by the Romans and sits in the largest national park in Europe. A 45 minute drive will take you to the coast and then to Gibraltar which is also a very interesting place to visit. People who visit Jimena enjoy walking, the country side, wildlife, painting, photography and to experience the Spanish way of life. We are very fortunate to have our own railway station in the village. The train will take you to Ronda so you can enjoy the breath taking views of the mountains and country side.Granada is the trains final destination and this trip takes around 3 hours from Jimena.I highly recommend this visit as the historic city holds many places of interest including The Alhambra Palace. We are only 2 hours drive from Seville and 3 hours from Portugal. Our nearest city on the coast is a 45 minute drive to Algeciras where you can take a ferry to Morocco which takes 35 minutes. As you can see there many interesting places for you to visit to make your holiday a truly unforgettable experience.
