Our home

We recently renovated this beautiful 400 year old town house to retain the original charm and character while installing all mod-cons. There are airconditioning units in all rooms and underfloor heating and double glazing. The house is situated in a small street.
On the Ground Floor is an Entrance Hall, Toilet, Lounge, Dining room, Kitchen and in the basement is a wine cellar and store room.
First Floor is the Master bedroom with King size bed, dressing room, toilet and bathroom. the fourth bedroom is an office with highspeed internet. There is an ensuite shower room off the office.
Second Floor are Two ensuite double bedrooms, one has single beds, outside on the terrace is a small sitting area and splash pool/jacuzzi.
The top Floor has a partially covered dining area with free standing gas BBQ, kitchen with dishwasher and a small garden.
The house is not really suitable for children under 5 years old because all floors are tiled and therefore hard if they fall over.

Who we are

  1. We, Cherry & Tony, are retired in our middle sixties. Cherry was a Nurse and Drama Teacher and Tony an Accountant. We have spent most of married life working abroad, but our two daughters went to university in the UK and have stayed there. We spend about 3 months each year travelling the world. We would like to exchange in England so as to spend more time with our daughters and their families.

The village of Javea is known as "The jewel of The Costa Blanca" it is split into three areas. The old town, the port and the sandy beach. Our house is in the centre of the old town. Steps away from one of the few remaining 11th century fortified chrches in Spain. Bars, restuarants and the daily covered market with fresh produce are within a short walk, big supermarkets are a ten minute walk away. It is 15 minutes walk to the Port and beach. The horseshoe sandy beach is a ten minute drive.

There are a huge number of activities available through local clubs that cover Bridge, Computers, U3A, Walking, Theatre etc etc. There are two golf courses nearby and pretty villages are a delight to visit up and down the coast and inland the mountains offer fabulous views. Valencia is a fascinating city to visit, with many galleries and other attractions, including the world famous aquarium and city of the sciences.
