Our home

Our home is a traditional, recently renovated stone Catalonian farmhouse (masia). It comprises four bedrooms each with a double bed, four bathrooms, a large sitting room, a fully equiped kitchen with an adjoining dining area. It has a separate utility room and a games room with a pool table. It has a large swimming pool, paved terrace areas for eating outside and a barbeque. It is cosy in winter with full central heating and two wood fires and cool in summer with air conditioning on the second floor.

Who we are

We are a couple in our fifties, we have five grown up children and run a trekking company in Cusco, Peru. We have lived for many years in Peru and Australia and now live in Spain.

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

The location of our house is spectacular. It is set on 10 hectares of garden, cultivated fields and Holm Oak woodland. It is very peaceful with beautiful rural views. It is secluded but very accessible, 10 minute drive from the stunning medieval village of Besalu, 20 minute drive from Figueres (birthplace of Salvador Dali and home of his famous museum), 40 minute drive to the Costa Brava coast and the French border, 45 minute drive to Girona airport and a 1 and a half drive to Barcelona.
