Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

On the beach. Close to all facilities: restaurants, chemist's, supermarket, newspapers'. In Denia (www.denia.net). Roman castle. Ferry to Ibiza (2 hours)and Majorca (5 hours). Fine restaurants and shopping. Place names in the region have their Arabic roots, but it is the architecture which is most striking. Ancient villages were built on hilltops and always featured winding streets to aid defense against marauders. One of the most important festival is the Moors & Christians fiesta, held in August. Theatrically presented in impressive costumes, the townspeople are separated into Moorish and Christian groups, and hold marches and mock battles.
