Our home

Very sunny 4th floor appartment with elevator, 70m2 (750 sqm) including a small balcony in the front and another (covered) in the back. The building itself is old (built ca. 1930 in classical Barcelona style) but fully renovated, as is the appartment itself (I purchased it in 2007). It has a fully equipped kitchen & bathroom, a huge closet and a comfortable living-room with a big flat-screen TV + DVD and air conditioner (a very important feature if you plan to spend a summer in Barcelona!). The actual bedroom has a huge 160x200cm bed, while the 2nd bedroom is in fact my office, but a bed can be installed there if needed (currently I have a kind of armchair/futon which is indeed quite practical). Both receive direct sunlight all day long (a real privilege in Barcelona). Of course, hi-speed Wi-Fi Internet connection and telephone are provided, and you could also use my desktop computer.

Who we are

  1. I am a young but very responsible freelance translator, open to live in as many countries and cities as possible. I fluently speak English, French and German (apart from Spanish), and I have already done three very successful home exchanges in just two years: two simultaneous (Montréal and Paris) and one non-simultaneous (New York). The minimum stay abroad I'd like is 2-3 weeks... but I prefer 2 or even 3 months if possible. Thanks!

Where is it?

Your neighbourhood

Although there are lots of tourists just a few feet away, as I live just one block away from the Sagrada Familia cathedral, the Eixample district is one of the quietest and more traditional you can find in Barcelona: lots of people who have lived there for a long time, all kinds of quality shops, fine restaurants, excellent public transportation (a subway stop serving 2 lines is just 1 minute away)... just everything you need!
