The apartment is located in the traditional Barcelona neighborhood called "Eixample", the main neighborhood of Barcelona (characterized by its quadrangular pattern).
It houses most of the modernist (art nouveau) buildings of the city, among them Gaudi's outstanding La Pedrera or Casa Milà.

As our apartment is pretty close to Sants Station (train and bus) it's an ideal base for daily trips all around the Catalan Coast (Costa Brava and Costa Daurada), golden sand beaches, historic romanic villages (Besalú, Rupit, Ripoll...), Cistercian monasteries of Poblet and Santes Creus, nature (Montseny and Pyrenees), Dali's route, monumental Roman complex of Tarragona, theme parks (PortAventura), Penedès wine and cava cellars, Montserrat monastery and many more.
